Behind the Story
The idea for Chaplain’s Corner began several years ago when Rev. Rowoldt’s children suggested he compile the articles he had written, into a book. Rev. Rowoldt’s wife, Marian, mentioned the idea in Bible Study Shelly Burke attended, and shortly thereafter, the Reverend, Marian, and Shelly began work on putting almost 150 columns together into a book. Shelly laughed and learned as she typed the columns into book form.
Shelly found it a joy to work with the Rowoldt’s, and a working relationship quickly grew into a close friendship. Since their own families live far away, the Rowoldts became honorary grandparents to the Burke children (you can‘t have too many grandchildren, or grandparents!). |
